Discover the many different environments of the Algarve by coming along on a safari in our Land Rover Jeeps. We’ll take you off the beaten track, through thriving nature and ancient villages, stopping for lunch in a typical restaurant. We offer a choice to two routes:
The Nature Safari, covering the area around Vila Real de Santo Antonio, includes a visit to the Sapal Natural Reserve of Castro Marim and its salinas. Here you can sample flor de sal and medronho or fig liquors, depending on the time of the year.
We’ll then make a stop at a local basket maker for a short explanation and exhibition of the art. Lunch will be taken in either Foz de Odeleite or Odeleite. After lunch we’ll stop in Castro Marim for a visit to the castle, with amazing views over the River Guadiana, Ayamonte and Vila Real de Santo Antonio.
The Jeep Safari covers the area around Albufeira and also offers an exhibition of local arts and crafts, including the production of cork, Portugal’s main export. We’ll stop for lunch in the village of Sarnadas, and then head on to Monte Ruivo for a taste of the local medronho, liquors and honey.
