Starting at the Baleeira Harbour in Sagres, we’ll head out in the direction of Cape St. Vincent, passingby various points of interest such as the Ponta de Sagres, a 300m spit of land with steep cliffs; and the Fortaleza, an important Portuguese monument where Henry the Navigator did his operational studies. We’ll also visit the Fortaleza de Beliche, Praia de Beliche and the small Chapel of Santa Catarina.
Upon reaching the famous Cape St. Vincent you’ll be able to see its lighthouse, which up to this day is known as Europe’s brightest. The cape has long been considered a sacred place, right back to the Neolithic period, and it got its name from Saint Vincent of Saragossa, a patron saint of sailors.
Our boat-trips are guided in German and English, and we travel with our marine-biologist on board.
